Beginning July 8, mainline members across WestJet Component will begin receiving and wearing red campaign lanyards as a visible demonstration of solidarity and unity.
This campaign is an opportunity for members to stand together, increase visibility, and show our collective commitment to achieving our goals. Every lanyard worn is a reminder that our strength comes from working together.

The Red Lanyard Campaign is a visible show of member engagement and solidarity.
By wearing your lanyard:
You demonstrate unity with your fellow members.
You help increase awareness of our collective efforts.
You contribute to a strong and visible membership presence across our workplaces.
You support the ongoing work being done on behalf of all members.
Together, we are stronger when our voices and actions are visible.
Please keep your uniform WestJet issued lanyard in a safe place.

Launch Date: July 8, 2025
Members who receive their lanyards may begin wearing them immediately upon receipt.
The campaign officially launches on July 8 and will continue until we reach a tentative agreement.

Lanyards will be distributed according to the campaign schedule in your base.

Once you receive your lanyard, we encourage you to:
Wear it while on duty where appropriate.
Wear it consistently throughout the campaign.
Encourage participation among fellow members.
Share campaign photos and stories when requested.
Help promote a strong and professional display of member solidarity.
Encore members are not permitted to participate at this time.

As the campaign concludes, members will be advised when to stop wearing campaign lanyards.
A wind-down notice will be posted on this website, shared through social media channels, and communicated through local representatives.
Please continue wearing your lanyard until official direction is provided.
