12-5 INFLIGHT SERVICE COMMITTEE

The Inflight Service Committee is a joint working group made up of equal representation from WestJet management and the Union. Its purpose is to provide ongoing review, advice and feedback on the planning, development and delivery of onboard service performed by WestJet cabin personnel. The Committee serves as a forum for discussing service standards, trialling new onboard initiatives, evaluating pilot programs and gathering front-line input to improve the passenger experience.

Composition and participation

  • The Union will nominate three WestJet cabin personnel to sit on the Committee. The Company may appoint up to three representatives. By mutual agreement the Parties may invite additional participants or subject‑matter experts to attend specific meetings.

  • The Vice President, Inflight, or their designate, will engage the Committee when launching onboard trials or conducting focus groups related to inflight service.

Meetings and mandate

  • The Committee meets twice a year, or more often if both Parties agree.

  • Its role is advisory and collaborative: to review proposed changes, recommend improvements, share operational insights from the cabin crew perspective, and help assess the outcomes of service trials and focus groups to inform final decisions.
