Encore Bargaining Update #19
Dear Members,
Your Bargaining Committee spent October 1-2 and 5-6, meeting with the Company to continue discussions on outstanding articles. We are giving our due care and attention to the remaining articles to be presented to ensure we secure the best deal possible for our members.
This week, we reached an Agreement in Principle on 2 additional articles, bringing our current total to 35. These articles are:
Article 15 – Seniority
Article 19 – Travel Privileges and Jump Seat Access
The Bargaining Committee presented its initial proposal for Article 34 – Scheduling, one of the most important sections of our Collective Agreement and is acutely aware of the day-to-day impact Article 34 has on our membership.
Our time matters, and the Committee remains committed to negotiating improvements that reflect the priorities expressed by our membership. From rest provisions and scheduling flexibility to duty days and overall working conditions, these issues have a direct impact on our daily lives. We continue to advocate for meaningful changes that respect the demands placed on our members, improve work-life balance, increase predictability, and are better aligned with the needs of our membership.
This leaves 9 active Articles currently under review with the Company. Your Bargaining Committee continues to make steady progress, advancing proposals and advocating for meaningful improvements to the remaining Articles yet to be presented.
