Bargaining Update #35: Waiting in the Bargaining Room
Dear members,
Your Bargaining Committee feels it’s integral to be transparent about our experience with the Company in the last 24 hours.
We have been in the bargaining room since 8:30am MT, as agreed. It is now nearly 5:00pm MT.
Last night at 5:58pm MT, your Bargaining Committee provided the Company with a comprehensive pass reflecting the changes necessary to meaningfully resolve this dispute.
The Company has since unofficially responded with an offer (not in writing) that once again fails to meaningfully address the proposals we have put forward or the issues, we have identified as necessary to reach a settlement.
We are now only a few hours from the strike deadline. Your Bargaining Committee is standing strong and will be at the table waiting for the Company to bring a deal to the table.
Standby for further instructions.
In Unity,
Your WestJet Mainline Bargaining Committee
